Chengdong has a Bachelors Degree of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Beijing, China and a diploma in Automotive Technology from Wyoming Technical Institute. He is also a California State Certified Training Instructor.

Chengdong had spent his early years (from 1984 to 1988) in a joint venture company called “Beijing Jeep” as a mechanical engineer. He came to America in order to learn more about automotive technology. “June 4th of 1989” changed the course of his career. Thanks to a lady in Auburn, Marjorie Gilbert and a gentleman in San Ramon: Timothy Schutz, he took an opportunity to become an instructor in Sequoia Institute of Technology in Fremont (Wyotech, Fremont) in 1993. In 1996 he was awarded “The Instructor of the Year”. He purchased his first auto repair business in 1999, in Castro Valley (Sal’s Foreign Car Service). In  Aug. of 2005, he became part of San Ramon Valley Import Center.
